Navigation Menu

The navigation menu consists of several useful menu items that enables navigating an element between different views. For instance, from a selected graphical element on the diagram editor, users can navigate easily to its associated semantic element on the Project Explorer.

The navigation menu is available for most of the views. However, based on the type of selected element and the active view, the menu can display with different items.

Show in Project Explorer F8
  • Open the Project Explorer view if not already opened and highlight the selected element in the explorer's tree.
  • It's possible to select many elements.
Show in Semantic Browser F9 Open the Semantic Browser view if not already opened and refresh the view based on the selected element.
Show Related Element(s) in Project Explorer F7
  • A sub-menu action is created for each related element.
  • If no related element found, the menu is not visible.
  • It's possible to select many elements.
  • Click on each sub-menu action will opens the Project Explorer view if not already opened and highlights that related element in the explorer's tree.
  • Shortcut F7 highlights all related elements in the explorer's tree.
Show in Diagram Editor F10 If there is an active diagram editor and a graphical element on that diagram representing the selected element, highlight that graphical element.
Show Impact Analysis... Show the Impact Analysis dialog for the selected element.
Send to Fast Linker View F6 If the selected element is valid, send that element to the view Fast Linker.
Send to Mass Editing View
  • Send selected element(s) to a new Mass Editing view or an existing one.
  • It's possible to select many elements.
  • If send to an existing view, it will aggregate new element(s) with exiting element(s) in the view.
Send to Mass Visualization View
  • Send selected element(s) to a new Mass Visualization view or an existing one.
  • It's possible to select many elements.
  • If send to an existing view, it will aggregate new element(s) with exiting element(s) in the view.
